Getting Started
What is the YKards Membership?
Ykards is a subscription‑based rewards service. For a monthly fee you receive a closed‑loop digital MasterCard® issued on the FCA‑regulated flexecash® platform. The card is accepted at roughly 140 of the UK’s most‑shopped online retailers—from fashion (ASOS, John Lewis, Nike) to food delivery (Deliveroo, Just Eat) and everyday essentials (Boots, Argos, Amazon UK gift balance). Every time you top‑up the card we immediately add 10 % extra value, giving you more spending power with no points to chase and no waiting for cashback pay‑outs.
How do I start the 7‑day free trial?
Click any “Start Free Trial”, “PROCEED”, or “Continue” button on ykards.com. You’ll be asked for your name, email and a valid payment method (we pre‑authorise £0.00—no charge today). After checkout you must complete the short Card‑Creation Form—a secure page where you confirm ID details so the issuer can generate your personal card. The form can be filled during the trial; if it isn’t submitted, no card can be created and you won’t receive cashback. Remember: the trial lasts exactly 7 calendar days and converts automatically unless you cancel.
What happens after the trial ends?
On Day 8 we bill your card £29.90 for the introductory month. Within five UK business days (usually faster) our agents verify your form, pass KYC checks and email your ready‑to‑use digital card details and activation link. You can add the card to Apple Pay / Google Wallet or copy‑paste the number at checkout on partner sites. If you decide Ykards is not for you, simply cancel before Day 8 and you pay nothing.
Where can I use the card?
Because the card is closed‑loop, it works exclusively at our curated partner network—roughly 140 UK e‑commerce sites. The list is updated regularly; you can view it anytime at merchants. Transactions attempted outside that network will decline automatically, preventing accidental spends. Many users like this “safety rail” because it keeps their cashback funds focussed on known, reputable merchants.
What is “ykards” on my bank statement?
“YKARDS” (or “YKARDS SUBSCRIPTION +44 3308220969”) is the descriptor we send for membership fees—either the first £29.90 introductory charge or subsequent £69 renewals. Card top‑ups appear under our payment processor’s name (Stripe or Solid) with “YK TOPUP” in the description. Seeing the name lets you quickly distinguish subscription payments from everyday deposits onto your card.
Can anyone become a YKards member?
To be eligible for a YKards membership, you must be at least 18 years old, be a resident of the United Kingdom, and agree to our Terms of service.
Membership & Orders
How is the 10 % cashback credited?
Go to ykards.com/top‑up, choose an amount (e.g., £100) and pay with your usual debit/credit card. The moment the payment clears, our system loads £100 + £10 bonus = £110 to your Ykards card balance. There’s no manual claim, no waiting 30 days, and no thresholds. The only limit is the £100 bonus cap per calendar month—meaning the first £1 000 you deposit each month earns 10 %, deposits above that are loaded at face value. The cap resets on the 1st of each month.
Tell me about the £15 Welcome Refund.
Occasionally you’ll see a banner offering a £15 Welcome Refund. It’s session‑based: once the banner appears you have 10 minutes to complete checkout. Keep the membership past the trial, then email [email protected] (or click the link in your welcome email) after your first paid month starts. Our team verifies eligibility and adds £15 directly to your card balance—you’ll see it listed as “WELCOME15” alongside your next deposit. This credit counts outside the monthly £100 bonus cap, so you effectively receive an extra £15 of buying power on top of your cashback.
How do I cancel?
Send a quick message to [email protected] from the email linked to your account, or click the one‑step cancellation link in your welcome email. We’ll confirm by return email and stop all future renewals. You’ll still be able to spend any remaining balance on your card until the end of the paid period—membership perks continue; you simply won’t be billed again.
Can I get a refund of my membership fee?
Yes—your very first paid charge (the £29.90 introductory month) is covered by our 30‑day Money‑Back Guarantee. If Ykards isn’t what you expected, email us within 30 days of that payment with your account email and the last 4 digits of your card. We’ll credit the fee back to the original payment method, usually within five business days. Subsequent renewals are not refundable under the guarantee, although EU/UK residents maintain statutory withdrawal rights.
Privacy & Safety
Is my money protected?
Yes—every penny you load (plus bonus) is held as “safeguarded funds” by Park Card Services Ltd in segregated client accounts, as required by the UK Electronic Money Regulations 2011. If the issuer became insolvent, an independent administrator would use those safeguarded funds to repay e‑money holders (less reasonable costs). Note, however, that safeguarded e‑money is not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) because it is not a bank deposit.
What personal data do you collect and why?
At sign‑up we take your name, email and payment details to create your membership and process payments. When you fill the Card‑Creation Form we collect address and date‑of‑birth so the issuer can meet “Know Your Customer” (KYC) rules. We also use basic analytics cookies (only with your consent) to see which pages are popular and where users drop off during checkout. Full details, including retention periods and your opt‑out rights, are in our Privacy Information.
How do I change cookie settings?
Click “Cookie Settings” in the footer at any time. A pop‑up Preference Centre lets you toggle off Analytics, Functional or Marketing cookies—Strictly Necessary cookies stay active so the site can remember your choices. Changes take effect instantly; refresh the page to see them. You can also use your browser settings to delete cookies or block third‑party cookies globally.
What if my digital card is compromised?
Because the card is digital‑only, you can’t physically lose it, but credentials can still be stolen through malware or phishing. If you suspect unauthorised use, open the Card‑Management link in your activation email and hit “Disable”. Then notify [email protected]. We’ll free‑issue a new PAN (card number) and transfer any remaining balance—at no charge and usually within one business day.
How fast do you answer support emails? E
Email is handled by real people—no bots. We target under two UK business days for a first response, though most queries (cancellations, balance questions) are answered the same day. The phone line (+44 330 822 0969) is an automated system with recorded answers and cannot connect you to a live agent, so email is always the fastest route to a personalised solution.
